Coir pith blocks are composed of a material called Coir, or coconut fibre, which comes from the husk located on the exterior of the coconut, which have extensive applications in horticulture by virtue of its excellent drainage properties and ability to retain high oxygen levels.

They have excellent water holding capacity and are used as Soil conditioner. Washing controls the electrical conductivity of the block which is important for root and plant growth.
